Hime’s premier visit to Akihabara shall be celebrated with a manga list! Yay! Not just any manga list! This time I am listing five on-going manga scanlation on the otaku subject which I am following.

Interestingly, all the manga I am listing (and most out there) are in the Shounen & Seinen genre. I think it’s because most extreme otaku are guy and they can relate to this topic. What do you think?

Hime says: Sometimes I feel guilty for laughing so hard at Dango’s quirky circumstances. His delinquent hairstyle is just priceless. Go read it if you haven’t.

They find a heart-broken otaku named Takezou Muto on the doorstep of their shop, and he is able to save the day and the shop with his quick thinking. He is hired on permanently, and Haruna, the motherly sister, asks him to transform their store into a money-making enterprise. Takezou dreams of it becoming an otaku paradise, much to the delight of Isuzu and much to the consternation of Aoba.
Hime says: First manga I have read about the insiders of Akihabara instead of their customer. The manga is not only enjoyable to read, but also give a good perspective regarding Akihabara and the otaku culture.

Hime says: Oh LOL. Incest manga fan unite! There hasn’t been any ‘real’ occurence of possibility of incest yet. But, it’s so close, that you can almost taste it. Kirino is a total brother-sister love fan. Too bad for Kosaka, who totally thinks that his little sis is a hottie, she thinks incest is only for the virtual world. What more is, she likes to take on the male role. In other words, she likes the little sisters. She enjoys the little sisters calling her ‘onii-chan’, etc. She got a shrine dedicated to her favorite little sisters. Now that’s weird. Lookng forward to more incest developments

Hime says: This is the most serious manga on my list. It is a true form of Seinen, dishing harsh reality. This manga takes on the view of life of an ugly, fat aging man who hasn’t done anything significant, who has no choice but to take refuge in the virtual world. The story takes place in a realistic environment with realistic social interaction. No exaggeration, no moe, no over the top reaction. Simply real, straight forward and as it is. I really enjoy reading this manga. I couldn’t stop reading it.
